26 Head to the Coos County Fair

Yeehaw.Head to Myrtle Point.

It's time for the Coos County Fair & Rodeo. Scheduled July 22-26, the fair promises fun for all ages.

Rodeo happens Friday and Saturday nights. But that's not all. A carnival offering rides and games is available daily, along with entertainment sure to bring oohs, aahs and giggles. The fair also features business exhibits, arts and crafts ” and don't forget the animals. For fair time, the barns are full of livestock from horses and cattle on down to rabbits and chickens.

This year's theme is œUnder the Big Top ” A Community Celebration." The rodeo will be Friday and Saturday nights, and for young mutton busters, there still might be time to sign up. Parents whose children would like to compete in the mutton bustin', calf or steer riding events can register by calling Shannon Cannady at 396-3609.
