29 Catch a watercolor workshop

The Coos Art Museum in downtown Coos Bay will host a watercolor workshop in late August.

Larry Johnson will teach techniques to accomplish different watercolor elements in a workshop. He shows students how to do parts of the painting and then combine those parts into a finished piece. Johnson has gained the reputation as one of the nation's top wildlife artists and has numerous publications and awards to his credit, a press release said. This workshop is open to all levels of watercolor experience. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 26-28. The workshop fee is $150.
