37 Learn to windsurf

Always wanted to try windsurfing but never made the time?
Floras Lake, south of Bandon, is a spectacular location for windsurfing. Rentals and training sessions are available through Floras Lake Windsurfing, 92854 Floras Lake Road, during the summer. Floras Lake is also a great location for a tranquil kayaking experience.

The lake also is favorable for beginners. It averages only 5 to 6 feet deep across the entire lake.

For people who want to stay more than a day, Boice-Cope County Park offers recreational vehicle and tent camping. Camping spaces are first-come, first-serve. RV sites begin at $16 per day. There is also a $2 per day use fee. Restrooms and showers are available.

There's also fishing. Get a fishing license and angle for cutthroat, rainbow or steelhead trout.

Boating (with or without motors) is permissible on the lake. Boaters are encouraged to use caution and be respectful of other users.
