45 Do some bass fishing

Catch some bass on Tenmile Lakes in Lakeside.The bass really start biting in March and April. This place is a favorite with bass fishermen from around the state. Bring your boat and head into town.

The Tenmile Bass Club hosts a two-day derby each year that has attracted a crowd of boats for almost three decades. Those who catch the biggest fish will receive awards: Heaviest weight for six fish, and awards for men's largest fish and ladies' largest fish. Entry is limited to 75 boats maximum. All the fish caught are released again alive back into the water.

For out-of-towners, motel and camping accommodations are available, as are boat and canoe rentals.
