59 Hunt for rocks

Bandon's beaches are favorites with agate hunters.For those who can't get enough of the rocks at the beach, Bandon boasts the largest full-service rock shop on the South Coast.

The Gems Rock Shop and Museum is located three miles south of Bandon on the southwest corner of Beach Loop Drive and U.S. Highway 101.

The store and museum offers visitors a chance to learn about the many Oregon stones, such as thunder eggs, agates and sunstones.
