90 Motorcycle to Smith River

Motorcyclists, this is the ride for you.

Remember to take your camera and a picnic lunch for a drive along the scenic Smith River Road. It joins U.S. Highway 101 just north of Reedsport and comes out near Drain on state Highway 38.

The trip takes riders past the towering trees of Siuslaw National Forest and private forestland down along the scenic river, past pastureland and marshland ” and some spectacular waterfalls.

This is a good area for birdwatching.
